Climate award special prize for climate protection and adaptation 2023

Why did this hotel receive such an outstanding award? The fact that it not only meets the criteria for a KfW 55 building, but also has advanced technologies such as geothermal energy, geothermal collectors, heat pumps and a 99 kW photovoltaic system shows a strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
In addition, the use of water cisterns, measures for circular hygiene concepts and the use of environmentally friendly and fair trade products are further commendable steps in the right direction. The integration of regional social initiatives into hotel operations demonstrates a holistic understanding of sustainability that goes beyond mere environmental impact and creates social benefits.
Such measures are crucial to minimizing the hotel’s environmental footprint while making a positive contribution to society. This award underlines this hotel’s commitment and leadership in sustainable and responsible business management.
